Editorial Process

Editorial Process

We are committed to ensuring a rigorous and transparent editorial workflow to uphold the quality of our publications. Below is a step-by-step outline of the process your manuscript will undergo, from submission to publication.

Stage 1: Submission and Initial Review

  1. Author Account Creation
Authors must create an account in the journal’s submission system to start the process.
  2. Article Submission
Manuscripts are submitted through our user-friendly online submission portal.
  3. Preliminary Quality Check
Our editorial assistant reviews the manuscript to ensure it meets the journal’s formatting and submission guidelines.
  4. Editor-in-Chief Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief reviews the manuscript to determine its relevance to the journal’s scope and decides if it should proceed to peer review.

Stage 2: Peer Review and Evaluation

  1. Initial Evaluation by Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief assesses the submission’s quality and relevance. If suitable, it is forwarded to two independent reviewers.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
The journal employs a double-blind review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers. Reviewers are given four weeks to evaluate the submission.
  3. Decision Based on Reviews
After receiving reviewer feedback, the Editor decides whether to accept, reject, or request revisions for the manuscript.

Stage 3: Revisions and Post-Revision Review

  1. Revisions
Authors address the reviewers’ feedback and make the necessary changes to their manuscript.
  2. Post-Revision Evaluation
The revised manuscript is reviewed to confirm that all required changes have been implemented. If the revisions are satisfactory, the manuscript is accepted for further processing.

Stage 4: Finalisation and Publication

  1. Copy Editing
The manuscript is edited for grammar, clarity, and adherence to journal style guidelines.
  2. Proofreading and Layout Editing
Final proofreading and layout editing ensure the manuscript is publication ready.
  3. Galley Preparation
Final proofs (galleys) are prepared and shared with authors and the editorial team for final approval.
  4. Approval and Publication
Once approved, the article is finalised for production and scheduled for publication in the next issue.
